Rules

Before making a booking please read through the following terms and conditions.

AquAid has made a very big investment, to the benefit of all of us. The rules below are written both to protect the investment and ensure that the property is kept in good condition:
  • In order to be eligible for using the holiday home, you must have been employed for a minimum of 12 months at the point of booking.
  • The minimum booking period is 4 days, for periods shorter than this, a cleaning fee of €120 is payable to AquAid. Whilst AquAid has budgeted with approximate running costs for cleaning, electricity, pool service, tv and internet of £10,000 per annum, not charging the cleaning charge for short visits will increase this dramatically.
  • Restrictions may apply with regards to the number of days booked by a single employee in a calendar year, but you will be advised of these before receiving confirmation of your booking.
  • The villa holds a maximum of 7 people aged 4+ and 2 children of the age of 3 or less, providing they sleep in a baby cot.
  • The property is available to immediate family only. This is categorized as partners, children, grand children, siblings and grand parents, all with respective partners and children. The member of staff must be on holiday with the family.
  • Whilst cleaning will take place after each visit, the property must be left in very good condition and all furniture where it was originally found.
  • No loud music or other disturbance of the neighbours is allowed.
  • It is expected that you treat the property with respect and make Marie aware of any problems you may experience. That way, we can ensure they are corrected for when the next person comes.
  • You will be asked to pay for any damage caused to the property that is not the result of wear and tear.
  • The property is completely non-smoking inside, including the conservatory area.

Cancellation

  • After booking you have 48 hours cancellation rights. If you do not cancel your booking, but end up not going, you will be charged £40 per night you haven’t stayed. Whilst it may seem silly, this rule has been introduced to ensure that we never end up with anyone booking, blocking others from going and then don’t go themselves.
  • The key: As soon as you get confirmation from Marie, book those flights!

Cost

  • AquAid will not charge you anything for staying, but the government will tax you on the benefit. For this purpose, we have set the rental value at £40 per night, an amount on which you will have to pay tax. For a basic rate tax payer, that means a week’s stay will cost £56 in tax. This tax is paid in the financial year following the year of your stay via your payroll.

Other rules

  • It is expected that you treat the property with respect and make Marie aware of any problems you may experience. That way, we can ensure they are corrected for when the next person comes.
  • You will be asked to pay for any damage caused to the property that is not the result of wear and tear.
